Specialist Rentals Franchise Model Launched

Category News

Recent months have seen the launch of the first specialist franchises of the new national Chas Everitt Property Rentals banner under the capable leadership of leading KwaZulu-Natal Property Rental expert, Greg Harris, who is himself in the process of merging his highly successful Lighthouse Property Group into the Chas Everitt Property Rentals group.

At the heart of the new property rentals sub-brand, Harris says, is the powerful EverRent© property management programme, which was developed to create a separate business opportunity for rental management specialists who are also wanting to the benefit of very strong national brand recognition and more control over managing and building their existing property rentals portfolios.

The major advantage of the EverRent© programme is that it is a one-stop system that gives the property rentals agent managing a number of properties quick and easy access, online, to a number of functionalities. “It not only facilitates the day-to-day management of the properties themselves but also keeps track of all the financial aspects of each transaction as well as lease renewals and deposits held in trust,” Harris says.

“It thus protects the interests of landlords, tenants and agents while also dramatically increasing operation efficiencies, especially for specialist rental agents with a large book of properties to manage.”

In addition, as part of the franchise offering, Chas Everitt Property Rentals has already put in place partnerships with companies such as the Tenant Profile Network (TPN), RentBond and Metering Online to enable its franchisees to access their services and enhance the letting/ renting experience for both landlords and tenants.

RentBond, for example, offers landlords a guarantee that gives them peace of mind that their rent will be paid for up to six months even if their tenants default or abscond, and will also take care of the legal side of things if there is a need to evict a tenant.

TPN, on the other hand, provides credit checks and tenancy histories that enable rental agents to select financially stable and reliable tenants, while Metering Online provides a sophisticated prepaid electricity service that enables tenants to easily top up via cell phone or online.

“And finally,” Harris says, “the Chas Everitt Property Rental franchisees will have access to the superlative training that is one of the cornerstones of the group, because we know that the more knowledgeable the agent, the better the customer experience.

“In the first few months of rolling the model out we already have representation in KZN, Gauteng, Western Cape, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and the North West provinces.
