Bryanston at a glance

Bryanston is a sprawling affluent suburb forming part of the metropolis of Sandton.   Originally it was only a wealthy residential area but it now embraces many Commercial & Retail developments.  This large suburb is divided by Bryanston Drive and runs from the outskirts of Randburg through to Morningside.                                                                                                          

Residents of Bryanston are afforded easy access to numerous amenities.  For families, the excellent range of Public & Private Schools in the area is a major incentive to own property here.  Popular Private Schools include St Stithians, Brescia House, Kings School & Waldorf. Well established Public Schools are Bryanston Primary, Bryndale Primary, Bryneven Primary Bryanston Dual Medium Laerskool & Bryanston High School.  Many outstanding options can also be found in neighbouring suburbs.

Bryanston is ideally centrally located. The busy traffic routes of William Nicol Drive & Main Rd run through the suburb and the northern border of the suburb connects with the Western Bypass & Freeway at the William Nicol off ramp.  The main routes have efficient public transport in the form of the Gautrain & Metro Bus Services & Minibus Taxis.

Many prominent Companies have offices in Bryanston.  Dimension Data set up the prestigious "The Campus" corporate development.  Ballyoaks Office Park, Fairways Office Park & Bryanston Place Park are examples of the contemporary Office Parks to be found.                                                                                                                       

Some of the major large corporates operating from Bryanston are Glaxo Smith-Kline, Tiger Brands, Nestle, Microsoft & Facebook.                                                                                         Large Car Dealerships & Showrooms are found along William Nicol Drive. 

Shopping Centres are abubdant.  Bryanston Shopping Centre,  Grosvenor Centre & Nicolway Centre are all on William Nicol Dr.  Hobart Grove Centre & BryanPark are set within the suburb & Post Office Centre is on Main Rd.  All of these offer a more intimate shopping experience than your mega Malls and have a variety of shops, supermarkets & restaurants. From stylish coffee shops to trendy restaurants & fine dining, Bryanston has it all.

Medical facilities are plentiful.  Hospitals include MediClinic Sandton & the N H C Medical & Dental Clinic.  Numerous other Medical Professionals have Practices in the area.                  Bryanston also has a state of the art Veterinary Hospital.

The long established Bryanston Country Club & Golf Club is located in the centre of Bryanston.  The Golf Course is pristine & has prolific Bird Life. Other facilities include Bowling Greens, Tennis & Squash Courts & Swimming Pool.  The Club is very family centric with a marvellous Clubhouse, function & event venues & both casual & fine dining restaurants.

This lush & leafy suburb has many diverse property options. Houses are normally on large erfs - some an acre or more - splendid gardens are well established and treed.  Many of these homes are on a grand scale.  Prices can range between R 3.5 million and R 12 million depending on accommodation, design & finishes. There are imposing Mansions, exquisite designer Clusters, stylish Townhouses & chic Apartments to choose from.                                                                                                          

Over the past few years many large properties were sold and developed into complexes to cater for the ever increasing number of people wanting to live in this suburb. These complexes provide affordable alternatives for young couples or professionals starting out.  The 24hr security offered is another plus.  The units range from as low as R 1.2 million for 1 bedroom loft apartments and increase according to space & finishes.  Bryanston also has many upmarket Retirement Villages.

Bryanston East Community Forum encourages residents to be informed & involved in the suburb. They run projects to maintain the parks & road sides & keep the suburb immaculate.   Measures to improve security and lower crime in the area are also part of their agenda. There is a remarkable sense of community amongst Bryanston residents

With so much to recommend this elegant yet relaxed suburb it is not surprising that it is of considerable interest to many prospective home owners.
