The Chas Everitt International property group has expanded its footprint in Zimbabwe with the opening of a second office in Harare, marking another step forward in its growth plans for the region.
The new office brings the group's total presence in the country to three locations, with further expansion planned as economic activity continues to gather momentum, says group COO Barry Davies.
The move comes amid growing confidence in Zimbabwe’s property market, driven in part by increasing investment in mining and tourism activities. Chas Everitt Zimbabwe principal Evelyn Mbundire notes that as these sectors ramp up, they are attracting both local and international interest, creating demand for quality residential property across key urban nodes.
"In addition, we are seeing a notable trend among affluent Zimbabwean expatriates who are actively re-entering the market. Many are purchasing homes in anticipation of a future return, opting either to rent out these properties in the interim or to retain them for use by family members currently based in the country.”

She says this dual-purpose investment approach is contributing to a steady rise in transaction volumes, particularly in established and emerging upmarket suburbs. Large family homes in these areas sell for an average of USD350 000, but the highest demand is for townhouses in secure complexes, and developers are responding by bringing many new projects to market.
With 22 sales agents across two offices, the Chas Everitt Harare ream is positioned to service this growing demand, offering clients on-the-ground expertise, international marketing reach and access to a trusted brand with deep roots in Southern Africa. It also reinforces the group’s long-term commitment to Zimbabwe as a market with strong and growing potential.
Says Davies: “With further offices already under consideration, the group is focused on building a robust national network that can support both domestic buyers and the global diaspora, while playing a meaningful role in the country’s property sector resurgence.”
