All viewings are subject to a pre-qualification process. A potential tenant’s net income must be at least three times the rental amount to meet affordability requirements. Pre-qualifications are completed through Preferental at a cost of R249, and only the main applicant (the applicant with the highest income) needs to complete this step for viewing purposes if there is more than one applicant.
If a lease is concluded, all parties to the lease will then be required to complete the full application process through Preferental. A partial credit will be applied to your admin fee to compensate for the pre-qualification cost. The full process—from application to inspection and key handover—typically takes 3 to 5 working days.
