Weltevreden Park is fairly large, with over 40 suburb extensions. The suburb is bordered by the Western Bypass to its south, and lies between the main arterial routes of Beyers Naude on its east and Hendrik Potgieter to the west. These, and other major roads feeding into, and adjacent to, the area, provide easy access into and out of the suburb.

Once considered to be on the far reaches of Johannesburg, Weltevredenpark is now one of the older suburbs of northern Johannesburg, and is accordingly well established.

Bedded down between the Northcliff hills to its south, the hills of Boskruin to the east and those of Constantia Kloof to its west, the densely treed suburb, with its green belt areas and open spaces, is popular across a wide spectrum of property owners, and continues to offer value, attractive living standards and lifestyle, ease of access and numerous amenities to both its current and prospective residents.
