Vryburg or “Fort of Freedom” falls into the Naledi Municipality, and was established in 1882 after the Republic of Stellaland was proclaimed.
 
Vryburg has quickly become an agricultural and industrial power-house of the Bophirima region, which is rich in cattle farming, and is now host to one of the largest cattle sales in the Southern hemisphere. Many Vryburg farms produce over 250 000 heads of cattle per year and Vryburg has lovingly been nicknamed “Texas of South Africa” because of this.

Vryburg is located around halfway between Mafikeng and Kimberley and has fantastic access to neighbouring cities and towns.
