St Michaels on Sea is a small coastal village bordering Shelly Beach and Uvongo on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast.

Situated on the Hibiscus Coast within an easy 10 km commute to bustling Margate, St Michaels is an extremely popular holiday destination as well as a hotspot for retirees.

During the holiday seasons, the popular beach at St Michaels is packed with surfers and swimmers. It has become a surfer's paradise because it offers one of the best surfing breaks in the country. Situated at the mouth of the Umhlangeni River, the St Michael's lagoon provides a tranquil canoe ride up the river with sightings of an abundance of bird and fish species that have made the river their home. The coastline is dotted with tidal and rock pools that make for hours of happy discovery.

Another big attraction for both visitors and local residents is the Saints Walk, which stretches from St Michaels on Sea to the Uvongo Beach. Along this walk are many good fishing spots. This rambling walk offers visitors stunning views of the Hibiscus coastline.

With all of these attractions combined with KZN's renowned and temperate tropical climate, it is easy to understand why St Michaels has become such a popular area in which to invest in property.
