Kenton on Sea property owners are fortunate to be found in this picturesque seaside town,along the beautiful Sunshine Coast of South Africa’s Eastern Cape.
The town is unique in that it is situated between two mouths of the Bushmans and Kariega Rivers, making it one of the most striking small settlements in the country.
The village forms part of the Cacadu District of the Eastern Cape, which incorporates nine different municipalities including famous towns such as Grahamstown, Jeffery’s Bay, Somerset East and Graaf-Reinet.

Just about every home in Kenton on Sea can offer its occupants either a view of the ocean, one of the two rivers or the wonderful indigenous bush.
The town is centrally located but lacks the hustle and bustle of a much larger city. Residents instead enjoy the quieter life throughout most of the year until the holiday season, which often sees the town’s population more or less triple.
The town also dates back to the early 1800s when settlers from inland areas such as Bedford and Grahamstown would use Kenton on Sea as coastal holiday town of sorts.

Kenton on Sea is widely regarded as a holiday town, but with that being said everything that is not found within the confines of the town can be accessed easily by road. For instance, most parents in the town either send their children to school in neighbouring Port Alfred or make use of Grahamstown’s excellent boarding establishments.
