FROM
BERRY EVERITT
It's an ill wind, they say, that blows nobody any
good, and that's certainly true of the mounting traffic congestion
in our major cities, which has brought about a significant increase
in the number of home searches on our websites in the hours between
17h00 and 19h00 - when many commuters now stay in their offices
waiting for the traffic on their homebound routes to abate.
This is good news for home sellers, as is the fact
that prospective homebuyers are making increasing use of our hotline
for home enquiries - 0860 104 355. This is not least, we're sure,
because every call to this line is answered not by an impersonal
automated system but by a real human being who can flexibly respond
to the caller's queries.
These developments slot in well with our continued
efforts, as SA's real estate technology leader, to optimize our
web presence and ensure maximum exposure for our clients' properties
to prospective buyers both here and overseas - while at the same
time continuing to offer the highest levels of personal service
as we engage with the individuals who are the heart of our business.
And our hi-tech, hi-touch approach certainly appears
to be succeeding, given the rising number of web-initiated sales
being reported by our branches around the country - and the fact
that in a still-slow market, many of them have recently enjoyed
record sales months.

Use
a good agent to be sure of your buyer |

With interest rates down and economic prospects looking better,
the number of first-time buyers is rising again. But most
are still looking for "bargains" and in this respect
they might want to take a tip from best-selling author and
motivational speaker Harvey Mackay...

|
A cause for concern is the casual attitude an increasing
number of buyers are exhibiting towards sale agreements or
the suspensive conditions these contain - even though they
can be sued for damages if they renege on these contracts.

If you are a lucky enough to have a garden,
growing things organically is a great way to start living
