FROM
BERRY EVERITT
In the course of this year, our company's 30th
anniversary, we have already had many things to celebrate besides
the great success of the Soccer World Cup that made all South Africans
so proud.
One of these is the way in which our offices have
participated in the new ChasCares campaign and each committed themselves
to doing 30 "acts of kindness" for local charities or
good causes during the year, in order to say a direct thank you
to SA for 30 years of support. I am very proud of the way they have
got behind this campaign and underlined our enduring dedication
to strong family values and integrity in property marketing.
Meanwhile, our three regional ChasCares campaigns
in which charity organisations were encouraged to apply for grants
of up to R30 000 have also generated a lot of excitement, and we
were delighted to make the grant presentations this month to the
South African Riding for the Disabled Association and the Horizon
House centre for the care of intellectually disabled adults in the
Western Cape; the Kuierkidz learning centre for children with severe
brain disabilities in Gauteng and to the Cancer Association of South
Africa in the Eastern Cape.
However, like most major birthdays, this year has
also motivated us to look forwards rather than backwards, and to
redefine our vision of the future. Consequently, we are focused
now on new opportunities in our marketplace and on finding ways
to make the most of these for the benefit of our clients. This,
we believe, will continue to make Chas Everitt International the
company of choice for consumers, estate agents and principals.

Home
truths about home pricing |
|
Homebuyers are accustomed to the idea of paying a premium
for a property with a view, like a "house on the hill"
or an apartment overlooking the sea...

|
Oddly enough, the last thing most home sellers want to think
about when their property is not attracting offers is price
- even though they themselves may be extremely value conscious
when looking at homes to buy...

power costs with heat pumps |
|
Everyone knows that the geyser is the biggest energy-glutton
in the house, gobbling up 30 to 50% of the monthly electricity
usage all by itself.
But not everyone is convinced that the best alternative is
a solar geyser. Another option is a heat pump...
