Greener Pastures Found Say Leading Umhlanga Property Team

Category News

Morningside, Ballito and Umhlanga based estate agents, Lighthouse Property Group, made a milestone announcement in early 2013 that they were converting their residential sales division to the Chas Everitt brand, a conversion which took place in March 2013.

In a recent interview after the conversion, Principal of Chas Everitt’s Ballito, Morningside and  Umhlanga property franchises, Greg Harris, confirms that this has undoubtedly been a step in the right direction, and he is very happy with the results to date. He shares some of his thoughts below.

“The decision to change has already proved to be a good one”, says Harris, citing the shift as a strategic business move. He also highlighted that they are already seeing the benefits of Chas Everitt’s focus on establishing and nurturing client loyalty in the property market – a focus which has helped to create the reputable and reliable South African real estate brand.

He further elaborates that the overall outlook, values and reputational integrity that Chas Everitt embodies are also shared by his team in KwaZulu Natal. He goes further by confirming that the association has created substantial mutual benefits, including new marketing avenues as well as a broader customer base and referral network.

“Chas Everitt is well established nationally with over a hundred offices and close to a thousand representatives which allows Chas Everitt’s franchised offices to operate successfully countrywide with members and clients benefitting from their broad and growing network. Their strong Gauteng footprint is also a major boon for us with the high volumes of buyers for Ballito and Umhlanga property who hail from the likes of Johannesburg and Pretoria where Chas Everitt is a household name.”

He also points to Chas Everitt’s large scale investment into multi-media advertising campaigns to ensure their agents are at the forefront of customers’ minds in today’s digital age. “This is further reinforced by a comprehensive range of top property platforms to which Chas’s listings are also channelled. This enables Chas Everitt to reach the broadest range of South African property buyers possible, right down to suburb level says Greg. These portals include the likes of Property 24, IOL and the like.”

“Continuous agent skills development and training remains a key issue for Chas Everitt”, Harris adds “Training has been the cornerstone of the Chas Everitt way for years. In fact, our Umhlanga, Ballito and Morningside estate agents are now well-equipped with internal training on operational systems, associated technology, administration training, online marketing, and even bank distressed sales education.

The group has always strongly acknowledged their estate agents as being at the centre of the Chas Everitt success story. The likes of the company document manager online system allows agents to enjoy permanent access to the corporate’s amalgamated systems and invaluable resources including updated documentation, proprietary training material, manuals and other useful material.

Recognising achievement and excellence is also top priority with Chas Everitt. In fact, there are ongoing awards programmes at exclusive venues for different regions around the country as well as the likes of highly motivational Chairman’s lunches for top Sales Associates. And Chas Everitt shows its top Agents that they are serious about recognising success – I don’t know of another group that take their top performers on Conventions annually to locations like Italy, Spain, Argentina, Bali, Mauritius, Thailand and even Mediterranean Cruises. In 2014 the Chas Everitt Convention will be held in Greece and Rhodes!”

Judging from the above comments pertaining to the rebranding of the Lighthouse residential component to “Chas Everitt”, it seems that buyers and sellers of, Ballito, Morningside and Umhlanga property can certainly expect more from their team at Chas Everitt!
