Chas Everitt International opens in Witbank

The Chas Everitt International property group has added yet another franchise to its growing network around the country - this time in the Mpumalanga town of Witbank.

The franchise has been acquired by Susan and Kirch Muller, who converted their well-established Middelburg estate agency to the Chas Everitt International brand in June.

"It makes good sense for us to expand our activities to Witbank because of the synergy between the markets of the two towns. There is a high degree of interaction, with many people living in Middelburg commuting to work in Witbank and vice versa," says Susan.

"And joining the Chas Everitt International stable has enabled us to grasp this opportunity because we now have the backing of a heavyweight in the industry. Our conversion in Middelburg has already elicited very positive feedback from clients, especially since we can now present them with accurate comparative market analyses."

Susan says the Witbank property market is currently experiencing fast growth thanks to increased activity at the local coalmines and re-commissioned power stations. "It has stimulated the residential market, which, in turn, is driving new commercial developments such as shopping centers."

At the same time, the Middelburg residential market is also set for fast growth, with an estimated 5000 new residents expected to move to the town to take up new job opportunities in the short term.

The Witbank office will initially be run as a satellite of the Middelburg operation but a comprehensive range of property services will be available immediately. Agents who specialise in the Witbank market are currently being recruited and Susan envisages an initial complement of 15 agents. A fully independent office will be up and running by early next year.
