Plett "not just for the super-rich"

John Fuller, owner of the Chas Everitt International franchise in Plettenberg Bay, says it is a misconception that Plett is now only for the "super-rich", as there are plenty of excellent home purchase options in the R1-million to R3-million bracket.

The River Club cluster home development, for example, consists of beautifully designed Caribbean Victorian style homes on the banks of the Piesang River, a stone's throw from Plettenberg Bay's central beach and the Beacon Island Hotel, and priced at between R1,5-million and R2,6 million.

Shared facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, an indoor heated swimming pool, tennis and squash courts as well as a 1km boardwalk along the banks of the river among carefully preserved Milkwood trees and other indigenous growth.

"River Club homes are popular as both permanent residences and holiday letting investments. The village is much sought after as a holiday destination and owners letting their properties during December can expect to gross R45 000," Fuller says.

Meanwhile at Goose Valley Golf Estate, there are luxury cluster homes available in the new Villagguo Toscanile devlopment for around R2,2-million.
Beautifully finished, these homes have sandstone flooring, exquisite kitchens with all appliances built-in, spa baths, special plaster effects and dimmers on all light switches.

There are also three and four-bedroom sectional title units available at Goose Valley for less than R2-million. The estate boasts an eighteen-hole Gary Player signature golf course, restaurant, clubhouse, pool, tennis and squash courts, and direct access to the Keurbooms Lagoon for safe swimming, fishing and boating.
