Cuddly Chas Bears find new homes

Hundreds of cuddly teddies have found new homes as a result of the countrywide colouring-in competition recently held by Chas Everitt International.

The competition, which drew a huge response, was part of the property group'
s campaign to make house-hunting and moving more "bearable" for young children, who are often unsettled by the experience.

And each of the company's offices recently held special children's parties to award a Chas Bear each to their local competition winners - and ensure in the process that more than 400 bears found new homes.

The competition was judged in three age categories from four to 12, and the standard of entry was very high, says Chas Everitt International MD Berry Everitt. "We were very impressed by the talent and creativity displayed by the entrants. We were also overwhelmed by the response, with several of our offices receiving more than 2000 entries each."

He says the Chas Bear campaign exemplifies the company's commitment to providing a highly professional service in a relaxed and homely, welcoming atmosphere. "Young children are often subjected to a measure of stress when their family has to move home.

"At Chas Everitt International we want to make sure they have something dear and familiar to help them make the transition. Indeed, part of our commitment is to ensure that our clients - and their children - always feel welcome and like family.

"And Chas Bear has now become so well known as a result of the competition that many of our offices have decided to give a bear to each family that buys or sells a property through Chas Everitt International."
