More About the Chas Everitt International Property Group
The Chas Everitt International property group was the dream-child of founders Charles (Chas) and Tilla Everitt who started the company in 1980 and remain active in the Chas Everitt group and the real estate industry to this day.
Chas Everitt History and Pedigree
Opening their first office in Randburg, Gauteng in 1980, Charles and Tilla founded what has over the years evolved in the Chas Everitt International Property Group, a true family business where ethics and values are an integral part of the company's DNA.
In their own words: "Our vision has always been to never stop caring about people and to never compromise our principles".
In 1998, when Charles Everitt became Chairman, Berry Everitt was appointed Managing Director of the Chas Everitt International Property Group.
In 2000 the Chas Everitt management team was joined by well-respected industry trainer and former National Operations Manager of ERA South Africa, Roderick Williams, who now heads up the group’s Operations, Training and Business Analysis division.
In 2001, Berry Everitt was awarded the Property Professional Club's 'Young Lion' Award and followed this with being awarded an industry 'Mover and Shaker' award in 2003.
During 2002, Chas Everitt relinquished their membership in an American Real Estate Group after having been members for a decade (during which for 8 out of those 10 years, Chas Everitt won every major international real estate award available to their Southern African operations)
In 2003 leading real estate franchising figure, Barry Davies, joined the group as a partner and Chas Everitt entered the Southern African Franchising arena and were joined by a host of like-minded and experienced franchisees across SA, opening operations in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Gauteng, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu Natal.
In 2004, the only independent real estate awards programme, the Property Professional Club, awarded Charles Everitt the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award. In the same year Berry Everitt and Franchising CEO Barry Davies were also nominated as 2 of South Africa’s Leading Managers in the publication “South Africa’s Leading Managers”. Chas Everitt also launched their inaugural Chas Everitt Convention model in Mauritius rewarding its top performers with International Conventions around the globe, a programme which to this day is the only one in the SA industry of its kind.

During 2010 the group celebrated its 30th Anniversary and launched ChasCares, a broad range of community projects building on the successful Home Makeovers projects held in 2008 and 2009.
In 2011 Chas Everitt invited one of the leading real estate trainers in the USA, Ed Hatch to SA to host personalised Chas Everitt training programmes for its Agents and Management across the country. Despite trying economic times the group continued to grow.
As part of the groups Social Responsibility programme in 2012, the Chas Everitt 67 Minutes support programme for Mandela Day was successfully introduced with franchises from around the country participating and performing acts of charity.
In 2012 Chas Everitt International also signed up as a major sponsor for a world record breaking attempt within the Argus Cycle Tour with funds raised going to the "Give Me a Chance" foundation.
Chas Everitt was also one of the leading sponsors of the inaugural NBM Sevens Rugby Tournament held in George in the Garden Route which drew top flight players from across the globe.
The Chas Everitt management team was also joined by former ERA South Africa CEO, Gerhard Kotze who focusses his attention on expanding the groups footprint across Southern Africa.
In 2015, the Chas Everitt group was invited to become a member of the prestigious ‘Leading Real Estate Companies of the World’ group. Part of ‘Leading Real Estate Companies of the World’ is also the Luxury Portfolio group, which deals with the high-end luxury property segment internationally.
These 2 groups give South African sellers the advantage of having their properties exposed to the international market, and also strengthens our referral network globally.
